Gingerbread Colouring Pages

These gingerbread colouring pages cover the whole cookie tray: gingerbread people, cookie stars, trees and hearts, gingerbread trains, baking scenes with rolling pins and mixing bowls, and candy-trimmed houses. Icing lines, buttons and gumdrops give kids plenty of small details to fill in.

Simple cookie shapes are easy for preschoolers, and the decorated scenes keep older kids busy longer. Gingerbread colouring is a natural match for December baking days: colour while the dough chills, then compare the paper cookies with the real ones. Teachers often read a gingerbread story and follow it with a colouring or sequencing activity. Gingerbread has been baked in Europe for centuries, and decorated gingerbread cookies are a big part of German Christmas markets. Every page prints on US Letter or A4 paper and is free for home and classroom use.
