About these colouring pages
St Patrick's Day on 17 March is the national day of Ireland, and it is marked in Britain too, with parades in cities such as London, Birmingham and Manchester, and green clothes at school and nursery. This hub has six St Patrick's Day colouring pages for the weeks before the day.
You will find a leprechaun with a gold coin, a large shamrock, a rainbow with a pot of gold, a leprechaun playing a drum with musical notes, a parade scene with people in green hats under bunting, and a Celtic knot. The shamrock and the rainbow are easy and suit ages three to six. The leprechauns and the parade are medium difficulty for ages four to ten. The Celtic knot is a detailed pattern of woven bands and suits ages eight and up.
Green is the obvious colour, but there are many shades to try, from pale lime to deep forest green. A shamrock has three leaves, which is why it is often used to talk about the number three. The leprechaun is a figure from Irish folklore, shown here as a cheerful cartoon character. Every page prints on A4 or US Letter and is free for use at home, in nurseries and in the classroom. The artwork was made with an AI image model and checked by us before it went on the site.
