For parents & teachers
This frog life cycle coloring page shows four stages of a frog’s growth, arranged in a circle so kids can follow the order from eggs to adult. Each drawing is simple enough for ages 6 to 10, with clear outlines that make coloring easy and fun.
Coloring ideas
- Use light blue or pale green for the eggs to suggest the water they float in.
- Try a gradient on the tadpole: darker green at the head fading to a lighter shade along the tail.
- Color the froglet with a mix of green and brown to show it is changing.
- Give the adult frog a bright green back and a lighter belly, then add small spots or stripes for texture.
- Add a light blue background around the eggs and tadpole to show the pond, and a green background near the adult frog for the grass.

Frogs are amphibians, which means they live part of their lives in water and part on land. A frog starts as an egg, hatches into a tadpole that breathes with gills, grows legs and loses its tail as a froglet, and finally becomes an adult that breathes with lungs. After coloring, ask your child to label each stage with a sticky note or to draw arrows connecting the four pictures in the correct order. This quick activity turns the page into a simple science review that works well in a classroom or at the kitchen table.
