Great White Shark Coloring Page
- Difficulty: Medium
- Ages:6–10

For parents & teachers
This free great white shark coloring page shows the animal in a clear side view, so kids can see the pointed snout, the row of sharp teeth, the five gill slits, and the tall dorsal fin that gives the shark its name. The big tail fin and the two lower fins are easy to spot, which makes this a good first ocean-dweller picture for children ages 6 to 10.
Coloring ideas
- Shade the top of the body in dark gray or blue-gray and the belly in white or pale yellow, just like a real shark.
- Use a light blue or teal for the water around the shark, and add a few wavy lines for ripples.
- Try a rainbow gradient on the dorsal fin, or color the teeth in a bright yellow to make them pop.
- Add small bubbles near the snout and a school of tiny fish in the background for extra fun.
Learn while you color
Great white sharks can grow up to 20 feet long and can swim at speeds of about 25 miles per hour. After coloring, ask your child to count the gill slits on the page and compare them to a picture of a real shark. You can also have them trace the outline of the dorsal fin on a separate sheet and label the parts of the shark they just colored.
